The Top 7 Interesting Height Statistics

So you’re probably concerned with your height and you’re looking for a way to help increase your height and grow taller?

Well don’t panic just yet, there are lots of alternative ways to help increase your height naturally, but in the mean time why don’t you take a look at some of these more interesting height statistics:

a) Netherlands has on average the tallest people in the world! As a national average in the Netherlands men stand a huge 6 feet tall and women also average just over 5 feet and 7 inches while in the USA the average man stands at only 5 feet and 9 inches while women fair even worse at around 5 feet and 4 inches!

b) Although Netherlands have the tallest country in the world on average population heights, the tallest people in the world are found in Montenegro where the average man is found to be a very tall 6 feet and 3 inches!

The women here are also very tall and come in at an average of 5 feet and 11 inches which means the average women in Montenegro is actually taller than the average man in the United States of America!

c) Currently in the United States there are over 1.5 million women whose height is over 5 feet and 9 inches. Compare this to Japan where the average male is only 5 ft 7.5 in tall.

d) There is a direct correlation between the height of  nation and it’s nutritional health. Each generation has tended to average in a little taller than the last and some will argue that this is also down the increased awareness of good nutrition.

Poor health in past years attributed to poor diets and lack of fresh foods has meant that people did not grow as tall as they did today. Height statistics show this to be a trend set to continue.

e) It  has always been noted and widely accepted by the scientific community that wealthier people have at all stages of history, been substantially taller than their poorer counterparts. Again this highlights the importance of a healthy diet in encouraging sustained height growth.

f) In the modern day world, the height gap between the rich and the poor has closed substantially. This is mainly due to the increased health systems in place across the globe.

Good food is no longer only the preserve of the rich and wealthy, so the gap between the rich and poor, the short and tall, is now closing fast.

g) You may be wondering why some Asian nations such as the Japanese or the Chinese still remain short people? This has much to do with the traditional diets of these countries, however genetics do still play a part in human growth.

That said, over the last 15 years height statistics have shown us that Japan’s average height has increased greatly and they are now on average, taller than their Chinese counterparts.
